Nairobi Summer School on Climate Justice 2025

Are you a passionate young leader ready to tackle climate injustice? The Nairobi Summer School on Climate Justice (NSSCJ) 2025 is calling for applications! Hosted at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, this fully funded two-week program is an initiative of the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) and partners. It brings together activists, scholars, policymakers, and local leaders to drive youth-led transformation in a world facing climate crises.

Program Details:

• Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

• Dates: 17 August – 30 August 2025

• Duration: 2 weeks

• Theme: Aspiring a Liveable Future – Youth-Led Transformation in the Polycrisis Era

• Funding: Fully Funded

• Deadline to Apply: 5 May 2025

• Notification of Results: 7 June 2025

✅ Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to applicants worldwide

• Aged 18–35 years

• Must possess an O-level certificate or equivalent

• Fluent in English, French, or Portuguese

• Valid passport (non-Ethiopian applicants)

• Must be working on climate justice initiatives (advocates, researchers, policymakers, farmers, fisherfolk, etc.)

💸 Financial Coverage:

• International Participants: USD 3500
  (Covers air ticket, visa, accommodation, tuition, meals, and certificate)

• Local Ethiopian Participants: USD 2500
  (Covers local transport, accommodation, meals, and certificate)

• Virtual Participants: USD 300
  (Covers tuition and certificate)
